CoELIB provides various information resources and technical assistance in innovative technology, business, and market development. The centre offers consulting services to stakeholders, including higher education institutions (HEIs), young farmers, and entrepreneurs through its extensive network of experts and practitioners.
CoELIB has supported several HEIs in developing leadership and incubation centres and capacity-building staff within the institutions to be the next generation of leaders. Such include the Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev) Incubation hub-Kenya, The Kisii National Polytechnic-Kenya, the Shamberere Technical Training Institute-Kenya, Dairy Training Institute-Kenya, Pwani University-Kenya, University of Juba-South Sudan, Khartoum University-Sudan, Obafemi Awolowo University-Nigeria, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources-Malawi and the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development-Ghana.
One of CoELIB’s core focus areas is the development of young consultants and experts in the work field. The centre offers opportunities for young professionals to work alongside senior consultants, enabling them to develop and refine their skills in areas such as agriculture, business strategy, marketing, and financial management. In addition to its consulting services, CoELIB also develops information resources and knowledge products to support innovation and business development in the region. These resources include research reports, case studies, and best practice guides, all aimed at providing practical guidance and insights to entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policy makers.
